U10 Premier Roundup

Our U10s have kept up their high goal scoring form over the past couple of weeks with another 2 wins and 21 goals for.

Caragh Celtic 13
Athy Town 1
Last weekend we faced an Athy Town team that has just moved in to the premier division this season and we came out on top with a 13-1 scoreline.

Cian scored four for us on the day and the Athy boys just couldn’t handle his speed and skill as he tormented them throughout. Daniel bagged a hat-trick for himself, while Daire and Noah got two apiece, with Ross and Evan chipping in with a goal each to round off all the scoring. Noah was outstanding on the day and had his opponents chasing shadows with his tricky turns. Even with a two man advantage Athy just had no answer to our quick passing and we ran out very easy winners.

Arlington 3
Caragh Celtic 8

We visited Arlington for the first time this weekend and came out with a comfortable win albeit in a bruising encounter. Ross opened the scoring with a headed finish after a fine passing combination involving Daire, Evan and Cian. Ross completed a hat-trick for himself with another header and last quarter chip over the home keeper. Cian and Daire both also continued their good recent goal scoring form with another two goals each while our six yard box specialist, Daniel, rounded of our scoring. Noah was unlucky to have a goal ruled out while Mikey was very unfortunate not to get a penalty for himself when he was rugby tackled by an opposing defender and goalkeeper. Our lads discipline was truly tested today and it was great to see them react by letting their football do the talking.
